We play a pivotal role in the strategic initiatives surrounding Amadeus Test Systems.
Our objective is to establish and execute standards while ensuring the operational stability, performance, and customer satisfaction of Amadeus Test and Training systems. Additionally, we are responsible for developing software solutions that facilitate the operation and monitoring of these systems.
This role is particularly exciting due to the challenges and opportunities presented by the ongoing migration of Amadeus infrastructure to the Public Cloud on Microsoft Azure, known as the Curiosity program, alongside the introduction of our next-generation retailing platform, Nevio.
Our teams maintain a global presence, fostering close relationships with local R&D product teams and Amadeus clients.
Our Team: Test Systems Evolution Projects, Governance & Architecture
We are responsible for the consistency, enhancement, and evolution of Amadeus test systems. We ensure that these advancements, including the transition to the Public Cloud and the implementation of the Amadeus retailing suite, encompass all facets and positively influence service quality, operational costs, security enforcement, and governance definition.
The team oversees cross-functional projects from business case development to implementation. We drive process governance, IT architecture, and communication to deliver a high level of service for internal users, operators, and clients.
Architect - Job Purpose
The Test Systems Architect
• Oversees architecture projects in collaboration with fellow architects and project managers.
• Leads and coordinates technical studies, cross-functional solution designs, proofs of concept, application modifications, and process changes, while managing communication of these changes to end users and addressing architecture-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
o Define the long-term vision for Test Systems, including infrastructure, data management, CI/CD, governance, stability, monitoring, and tooling.
o Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as personal data protection (GDPR) and credit card security (PCI/DSS).
o Optimize resource utilization and infrastructure, and redefine the usage of test phases (Production Data Recovery, Shift Left).
o Ensure comprehensive coverage of all aspects of evolutions, including automation as code and cost considerations.
These cross-functional projects enjoy high visibility, including the Public Cloud Migration Program, Cloud Architecture Authority, Security Office, and critical Amadeus applications, including Nevio. Our architects engage with project managers, application managers, developers, and QA managers, up to the VP level.
Key Accountabilities
• Responsible for system architecture, considering system constraints, enterprise architecture strategy, and financial operations (FinOps).
• Direct and coordinate software architecture studies.
• Provide insights on state-of-the-art system architecture, accounting for future developments.
• Communicate design implications to affected teams.
• Contribute to the architect community, offering education and recommending advancements.
