We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Representative for European Affairs to join our team in Brussels. As a key member of our Public Affairs team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing AXA's interests and shaping policy discussions at the heart of the European Union.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement an annual strategy that effectively represents AXA's objectives and values in the EU.
- Champion AXA's perspective in EU policy dialogues by engaging with key stakeholders, influencing discussions, and contributing to the formulation of impactful policies.
- Represent AXA at official meetings and events in Brussels, serving as a credible and influential ambassador for the organization.
- Monitor and analyze European policy and political developments to identify emerging issues and topics that could impact AXA, providing timely insights to guide strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with the AXA Public Affairs team in Paris to ensure seamless information-sharing with senior management and business units.
- Organize internal and external events related to public affairs, bolstering the team's cohesion and AXA's visibility in Brussels.
- Nurture and expand a robust network of contacts within EU institutions, private sector associations, think tanks, and the financial services arena to effectively represent AXA's interests and stay abreast of relevant developments.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with comprehensive knowledge of the functioning of EU institutions and their institutional framework.
- Professional experience in the Financial Services sector, with a focus on Insurance, banks, and Asset Management.
- University-level education, preferably holding a master's degree in economics, business administration, political science, or law, with a solid grasp of economic principles.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in contributing to policy debates and discussions.
- Exceptional proficiency in both written and spoken English and French; a working knowledge of German is advantageous.
