We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated quantum information research scientist to develop and test error mitigation techniques to improve the performance of our quantum processors.
As a member of our Research & Development department, you will have opportunities to get involved in several aspects of our research, collaborate with partner academic groups, publish in leading peer-reviewed journals, and present your work at international conferences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop error mitigation techniques compatible with photonic information processing
- Collaborate with the hardware and software teams to implement error mitigation strategies
- Keep up to date with the latest developments in quantum information with a focus on benchmarking and error mitigation techniques
- Carry out high-quality original research
- Publish in leading international journals and conferences
Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline, with a focus on quantum information science and technology
- Proven track-record of high-quality research in at least one of: Photonics, Quantum optics, Mathematics, Computer science, Quantum information, Quantum computing
- Ability to lead projects, identify the relevant research directions, and propose pertinent technical questions is highly desirable
- Ability to take initiatives and to work effectively both independently and within teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Coding experience
