Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Digital IC Design Engineer to join our team at European Tech Recruit. As a key member of our ASIC design team, you will be responsible for designing and verifying digital blocks, sub-systems, and top-level designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and specify digital blocks, sub-systems, and top-level designs, making area and power estimations.
  • Develop testability insertion strategies corresponding to circuit specifications.
  • Perform verification tasks, including coverage rate, unit block simulation, complete system simulation, and mixed analog/logic simulation.
  • Improve the digital design and verification flow.
  • Perform digital synthesis and Design for Test (DfT), using techniques that reduce the difficulty and cost associated with testing an integrated circuit.
  • Lead and present design choices and status during review meetings with the ASIC project team and customers.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in microelectronics or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in front-end ASIC digital design in VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog, and digital synthesis for DFT.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python, Tcl, etc.
  • Experience with project management and customer interaction.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Curiosity, interest in final applications, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of different design tools, such as Mentor, Synopsys, and Cadence.
  • Experience with mixed ASIC environments.
