We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in aircraft electrical power systems to join our team at Connecting Experts. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting aircraft electrical power systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Development: Develop and modify electrical power generation and distribution systems for aircraft, ensuring compliance with aviation industry standards.
- System Integration: Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate the electrical systems into the overall aircraft architecture.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct electrical system testing, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting of power distribution and generation systems.
- Compliance and Certification: Ensure compliance with aviation standards and regulations, such as FAA, EASA, and DO-160. Work closely with certification authorities.
- Documentation: Generate and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and design reports.
- Supplier Coordination: Interface with suppliers to ensure that components meet the required specifications and standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to improve the reliability, efficiency, and performance of electrical systems through upgrades and modifications.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in aircraft electrical power systems (ATA Chapter 24). Experience with power generation systems, AC/DC electrical distribution, wiring, and electrical load analysis.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical system architectures. Proficiency in electrical design and analysis tools, such as MATLAB, Simulink, AutoCAD Electrical, and other modeling software. Familiarity with aviation standards and guidelines, such as FAR Part 25, CS-25, DO-160, and ARP4754A. Experience with testing equipment, troubleshooting techniques, and system performance evaluation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the aerospace industry.
- Knowledge of aircraft certification processes and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with power electronics and electrical load management systems.
- Experience with aircraft modification and retrofit projects.
