As a Senior Knowledge Analyst (SKA) within BCG's Travel, Cities and Infrastructure (TCI) and Public Sector (PS) practice areas, you will be an integral part of a dynamic global team, delivering industry knowledge and insights with a particular emphasis on real estate matters. Your contributions will support BCG case and proposal teams through the provision of knowledge assets, analytical support, and expert advisory services. You will also act as a strategic partner and content authority for topic leaders and case teams, aiding in the structuring and resolution of intricate challenges.
In addition, you will spearhead the enhancement of existing and new intellectual property and knowledge resources. Your role will involve collaborating on commercialization initiatives related to the real estate sector, working closely with business leaders to bolster marketing strategies, conferences, and publications. As a Senior Knowledge Analyst, you will play a key role in mentoring, training, and guiding junior team members while sharing best practices across the team.
KEY COMPETENCIES- Addressing client challenges by developing pertinent research and analytical methodologies in real estate topics, including but not limited to commercial real estate investment, corporate real estate management, and cost optimization.
- Recognizing and disseminating significant trends that influence the real estate sector.
- Promoting knowledge in related areas such as property technology (proptech) and facility management.
- Systematizing knowledge and maintaining resources and tools tailored to various client contexts.
- Engaging with senior stakeholders in a credible and assured manner.
- Demonstrating initiative with a robust, adaptable work ethic, capable of working independently within a global and multicultural environment.
- Exhibiting flexibility and a curious, innovative mindset, open to new ideas and able to propose creative solutions.
- Navigating complexity and uncertainty effectively.
- A minimum of 2 years of consulting experience in real estate is required; candidates with prior consulting experience are preferred.
- Alternatively, a minimum of 3 years of industry experience is necessary; 4-6+ years of experience in real estate finance is strongly preferred, particularly in areas such as debt structuring, portfolio management, asset management, and capital raising.
- A Bachelor's Degree is required (an advanced degree is preferred).
- Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of German and/or French is advantageous.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders while working in a collaborative global team environment.
As a Senior Knowledge Analyst, you will collaborate with global topic leaders and colleagues across BCG to leverage expertise and capabilities for the benefit of our internal and external clients. Our team comprises a diverse array of knowledge roles that facilitate exciting and innovative career paths in knowledge management.
ADDITIONAL CONTEXTThe Knowledge Team (KT) is composed of functional and industry specialists who utilize their deep domain expertise to provide insights for case teams and clients. KT members are aligned with BCG Practice Areas, engaged in strategic initiatives, and develop leading-edge intellectual property data tools and assets to deliver valuable insights.
Members of BCG's Knowledge Team are involved in case work and contribute to the co-creation of insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, the delivery of proprietary data or tools in specific functions, and comprehensive research and analysis of market information. KT members also support business development and proposals for the Practice Areas and assist in organizing and codifying the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver exceptional business value to its clients.
