New Opportunity for Electrical Manufacturing Engineer
Euro London Appointments is proud to announce a new position within our client's team, a world leader in 3D Printing of metal components. As an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of complex 3D printers, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of new products, ensuring manufacturability, reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with electrical, software, process, and mechanical counterparts to improve hardware solutions and integrate them into manufacturing.
- Provide technical support for critical process and product issue resolution, as well as technical direction and support for all product builds and process operations.
- Drive ongoing improvements in manufacturing, assembly, and test processes, including those related to products, equipment, and product quality.
- Develop and maintain standard processes and training documents for the production line, with support from technical writers.
- Support testing and continuous maintenance of electrical and firmware systems based on Quality Assurance and Customer feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, with solid troubleshooting skills.
- At least one year's experience in electrical manufacturing engineering.
- Basic skills in C or C++ in embedded environments, with experience in PLC and Automation programming (Beckhoff experience a plus).
- Ability to use electronics diagnostic tools, such as oscilloscopes, DVM, and data acquisition.
- Working knowledge of EMI, ESD, and shielding practices, with experience in EMI and safety certification desired.
- Action-oriented with excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization.
- Good balance of pragmatism and structured project management.
- Solid knowledge of electronic engineering principles, design for manufacturability, testability, and cost.
- Willingness to go beyond own scope to drive things forward and support production and R&D team colleagues.
- Solid team player with strong spoken and written English language skills and fluency in French.
- Preferred working knowledge of optical systems (installation, calibration, optimization, troubleshooting).
