Financial Operations Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the procurement-to-pay process with autonomy.
  • Perform thorough reviews before payment runs.
  • Manage supplier approvals through TAP.
  • Analyze the ledger before each quarter-end close.
  • Support and train business partners on the P2P process.
  • Ensure vendor accounts are reconciled monthly.
  • Review bank reconciliations.

Major Functions & Related Activities:

  • Participate in ongoing reviews to improve processes and policies for P2P, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and other country regulations.
  • Support the Shared Services team leadership to improve and simplify processes, drive global alignment, and build scalable systems to support business growth.
  • Identify problems and report them before escalations; provide alternative solutions to resolve moderate issues.
  • Provide regular updates on key tasks and KPIs, working with wider teams.
  • Support projects in partnership with key stakeholders (e.g., Business Partners, Controllership, IT).
  • Look to improve the overall customer experience by reviewing historical data and identifying emerging trends.
  • Partner with the GFC team to align KPIs, processes, and expectations.

Experience & Capabilities:

  • 3+ years of experience working within an international finance organization.
  • Self-motivated, demonstrates initiative and flexibility.
  • Effective communicator in person, written, and through clear presentations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent working experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent working experience.
  • Foundation Accounting knowledge preferred to understand wider finance impacts.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Finance and/or Shared Services teams to provide business and team support.
  • Knowledge in Oracle ERP and PBI preferred.
  • Demonstrated Knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint at an advanced level.

This role is suitable for someone with a finance operations or generic finance background looking to broaden their skill set with responsibility for multiple tasks. You will have exposure to multiple teams and colleagues and must be able to prioritize your workload to meet the various demands within the team and manage these expectations with your stakeholders.
