Job Description

At Netatmo, we're seeking a talented Embedded Software Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our R&D team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and testing the embedded software running on our products.

You'll work closely with our Electronics, Cloud, Mobile Applications, Security, Industrialization, and Quality teams to ensure the successful development of our products. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a team of 3 embedded engineers
  • Helping achieve your team's projects by creating a framework of responsibility and optimizing your team's performance
  • Steering debates into quick decisions and communicating important team changes to the relevant audience through the appropriate channels
  • Coaching, mentoring, and further developing engineers on your team, within an open and inclusive environment
  • Working with other team leads across the department to identify and build on improvements to our processes and systems
  • Collaborating with product managers and other R&D teams involved in the project and actively participating in the decision-making process
  • Conceiving and delivering embedded software, including writing in C, running on ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers, and relying on various communication protocols

You'll have an impact on the whole software of the product, from hardware drivers to applicative logic and communication protocols implementation. You'll be encouraged to write modular software that can be reused across different hardware architectures and software environments.

Requirements

We're looking for someone with a strong background in embedded software development, including:

  • Graduation from an Engineering school or equivalent
  • Very good knowledge of C, electronics, and low-level embedded software
  • Familiarity with communication protocols from the IoT industry
  • Experience with git version control
  • At least 4/5 years of experience in embedded software development

You should be flexible, able to work autonomously, and have a strong team spirit. You should be keen on delivering products to their users.
