The role of Senior Mechanical Engineer is essential in ensuring the operational excellence of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be tasked with:

  • Guaranteeing the availability, dependability, and performance of machinery in the Wheel Manufacturing Division.
  • Engaging in operational maintenance activities and troubleshooting through root cause analysis, developing and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Reducing maintenance costs by identifying and applying cost-effective solutions in breakdowns, corrective and preventive maintenance, and process enhancements.
  • Creating and updating technical documentation and instructions related to machinery, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Executing maintenance instructions and operational procedures during machine setup, commissioning, adjustments, and calibrations.
  • Ensuring the availability of critical spare parts and maintaining accurate data in the SAP system.
  • Supporting OPEX/CAPEX projects relevant to the engineering scope.
  • Leading maintenance initiatives such as RCM, CMMS, and FMEA to ensure sustainability.
  • Timely updating of defined KPI dashboards and maintaining data accuracy.
  • Ensuring adherence to the technical team's stipulated procedures regarding safety, quality, and daily management systems.
  • Enhancing the maintenance skills of technicians through tutoring, coaching, and the development of training materials.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or hydraulics.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as MS Project, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting, is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Sinhala, with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated customer focus, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
