At Datadog, we are looking for a skilled Tech Lead to join our API Reliability team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for building and leading a team of experienced SREs who are passionate about building a culture of reliability. Your mission will be to provide internal tooling and frameworks that empower teams to develop, maintain, and manage web-facing applications.
As a Tech Lead, you will have a strong background in systems, blending deep and practical knowledge of infrastructure design and deployments. You will be responsible for codifying proven practices to improve developer experience and service reliability, and for exploring new ways to strengthen, automate, deploy, and manage our web-facing infrastructure at scale on multiple regions and cloud providers.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring a team of experienced SREs
- Providing internal tooling and frameworks
- Codifying proven practices
- Exploring new ways to strengthen, automate, deploy, and manage our web-facing infrastructure
- Defining the future of our API platform and supporting infrastructure
Requirements include:
- At least 5 years of experience with distributed web applications
- Production experience with distributed web applications, e.g. envoy, haproxy, ALB, redis, authn/authz
- Experience with incident management
- Good coding skills in Go and/or Python
- Empathy, collaboration, and communication skills in English
