Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commis 1 to join our team at Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel. As a Commis 1, you will be responsible for supporting the kitchen team in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional guest service while supporting fellow colleagues
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and tools
- Thaw frozen food items safely and prepare ingredients for cooking
- Use various kitchen tools and equipment to prepare and cook food
- Prepare and present food items for a la carte and buffet menus
- Maintain proper rotation of products in chillers to minimize waste and spoilage
- Prepare and bake bread, rolls, and pastries
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Follow kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages
- Promote teamwork and morale within the kitchen and with all other departments
Requirements
- Tamayyaz Program is for Saudi Nationals Only
- Open to candidates with little to no work experience, including fresh graduates and those with up to 6 months of relevant work experience
- Basic English skills are a must
- Strong passion for the Hospitality Field
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible roster depending on departmental needs
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous
