About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer Consultant to join our team at NXP Semiconductors. As a key member of our automotive team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our customers in the automotive industry.
Your Responsibilities:- Act as the primary point of contact for customer engineering and technical teams, providing technical expertise and support to promote NXP Automotive system solutions.
- Support customer projects from design-in phase to production, offering training, board design review, configuration, and support of NXP products.
- Collaborate with internal technical support and engineering teams to resolve customer issues and provide solutions.
- Leverage customer meetings to gather intelligence about customer end-product plans and relevant silicon requirements, and communicate this intelligence to product groups to inform new product development.
- Contribute to the development of technical collateral, such as application notes and engineering bulletins, to support our customers.
- Participate in technical conferences and industry shows to promote NXP Automotive solutions.
- Up to 2 years of experience in technical customer-facing applications or HW/SW system development in Automotive applications.
- Solid knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded C software.
- Good knowledge of Java.
- Basic knowledge of RF and UHF technology, and wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity.
- Experience with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex problems and board-level issues, and familiarity with basic JTAG debuggers & lab equipment.
- Good skills in presenting complex technical subjects to a professional audience.
- Must be professional, detailed, customer-oriented, self-driven, and able to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet customer needs.
English, French. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. German is a plus.
