We are seeking a Costing Manager to join our Component Development Center Interiors team at Alstom. As a key actor in the design and development of interior train parts for rolling stock, our team is responsible for delivering high-quality products to our customers.
Responsibilities:- Manage and train a team of costing engineers to ensure accurate and timely cost estimates.
- Collaborate with sourcing buyers to provide internal costing targets and challenge supplier costing.
- Ensure that proposed designs are aligned with budget allocations before RFQ launch.
- Evaluate project cost viability from supplier business award to serial production.
- Develop and maintain costing tools and databases to support team efficiency.
- Lead Design to Cost and Manufacture to Cost workshops with suppliers and internal departments.
- Experience in costing and team management, preferably in the railway industry.
- Fluent in English and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Experience in complex or international projects, with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge.
- Engineering school degree or equivalent, with a focus on composite, metallurgy, or plastic.
