Senior Financial Advisor AIFA

ENGIE is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Advisor AIFA to join our team in Brussels or Paris. As a key member of our Acquisitions, Investments and Financial Advisory (AIFA) team, you will play a critical role in supporting our business development and investment activities across Europe.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead financial modeling and analysis to support investment decisions for project development, acquisition, and divestment opportunities.
- Provide valuation and structure guidance throughout the business development process, advising on commercial agreements, risk allocation, and transaction structuring.
- Coordinate valuation, tax, accounting, reporting, and financing matters across all aspects of the project.
- Determine the best investment structure, taking into account strategy, governance, flexibility, and value creation matters, and provide recommendations on transaction terms and conditions.
- Present investment opportunities to ENGIE leadership, defending project economics and risks in committees.
- Undertake transversal assignments, such as impairment tests or look-back analyses.
- Support or lead partnership/consortium discussions, assessing partners, negotiating partnership term sheets/contracts, and governing investment structures.
- Select and appoint required transaction advisors.
- Review and contribute to the drafting of all transaction documents/contracts from the point of view of financial robustness, bankability, risk allocation, accounting, consolidation, tax, and partnership.
- Coach and mentor junior members of the team.
- Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7-10 years of experience in project valuation in power, renewable energy, and/or infrastructure/energy network, with experience in M&A and project finance transactions.
- Deep knowledge of investment, acquisitions, and divestments, including valuation methodologies, risk allocation, and transaction structuring.
- Negotiation skills, with experience in negotiating financing contracts/agreements, advisory mandates, and representing ENGIE with various stakeholders, including governments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
- Leadership skills, with an interest in team management and people development.
- Good organizational and planning skills, with the ability to work efficiently across diverse cultures.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory, with knowledge of German and French a plus.
- Willingness to travel a few days per week, when needed.
