Lead System Designer

The Advanced Lead System Designer is responsible for technical proposals and technical execution of product developments (ultrasound transducers for medical applications). He will identify and retire all technical risks during the development phase and will ensure performance meets user requirements. He will work closely with engineering and sales teams in a global environment.

- Work closely with customers to understand their needs and preferences
- Solve Engineering Problems
- Analyze complex engineering problems and develop effective solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
- Lead Project Execution
- Oversee the execution of projects from upstream phase to M4
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Evaluate and Refine Concepts
- Evaluate new concepts and ideas for product development
- Refine and develop innovations that can be developed into new products
- Commit to Patient Safety and Product Quality
- Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality
- Maintain compliance to all documented quality processes and procedures
- Education
- PhD-level or Master-level degree in a relevant field (acoustic beamforming background)
- Technical Skills
- Excellent level in Physics with a broad spectrum of knowledge (Acoustics, Optics, Signal Processing, Electronics, Physico-Chemistry, Materials)
- Expertise in finite element software for physical simulation (COMSOL Multiphysics, PZFlex)
- Fluency in Python, MATLAB, and preferably also in C++
- Soft Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication & leadership skills
- Results-oriented, inspiring, and curious
- Previous Experience
- Previous project management experience with a strong technical component
- Previous experience in designing ultrasonic transducers
- Problem-Solving Skills
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions
- Ability to setup action plans across transverse and global teams
