Job Summary

Role :

The E&A Engineer is a key member of the Center of Expertise team (CoE) within the Business Area. This role supports industrial project managers by leading the electrical & automation engineering part of projects across 80 sites in 22 countries.

  • Expert in electrical engineering with high knowledge in industrial automation systems
  • Safety referent for electrical standards, ensuring compliance on all projects
  • Leads multiple projects in parallel, collaborating with diverse teams across the Business Area
  • Travels: up to 40% in Europe for energy assessments
  • Location: any Imerys location in Europe, preferably close to transportation facilities

Responsabilities :

  • Define electrical & automation design of projects under project manager's responsibility
  • Assist project managers in establishing project cost estimates for electrical and automation parts
  • Ensure design compliance with Imerys standards, safety protocols, local regulations, and local requirements/constraints
  • Optimize design for safety, operability, scheduling, long-term evolution, and costs
  • Establish technical scopes and specifications to fulfill project requirements, participate in procurement phase with purchasing team
  • Analyze and assess technical offers, provide recommendations on supplier selection
  • Manage project execution, follow on-site works, lead reviews, Factory and Site Acceptance Tests
  • Lead commissioning phases of electrical and automation parts with local teams
  • Manage costs against project budget in alignment with project managers
  • Provide feedback, reports, and ad-hoc documentation
  • Train local teams
  • Key interfaces: BA CoE, BA operations, IT, Purchasing, EHS, contractors

  • Safety on all projects under responsibility
  • Compliance to electrical standards
  • Project delivery on time, in budget, at expected performance

  • High knowledge in electrical codes and standards

  • Languages: Fluent spoken and written English + another language
  • Ideal background/experience
  • Electrical/Automation projects at medium/small scale
  • 10 years of experience managing automation and electrical engineering activities in industrial environment
