Reservation systems are integral to numerous Amadeus offerings: they manage essential phases of trip reservations, including booking, ticketing, and PNR management.
Our division (TEC-RES) oversees these reservation functionalities for various travel content types, such as air, land, and sea. We are responsible for our distinctive reservation platform, utilized by both Airlines and Distribution partners.
As the travel sector evolves rapidly, the RES organization engages in significant ongoing and new initiatives that intersect all business units (e.g., New Distribution Capability, Merchandising, etc.). We are also addressing technical challenges, modernizing our platform to develop new APIs that are universal for all travel content providers.
Purpose
Within the Travel Record Management (TRM) department, the ROC (Retrieve, Orchestration & Context) team is tasked with orchestrating all incoming requests that update a PNR, managing the context for these requests until they are committed to the database, and retrieving the PNR.
You will lead a team with comprehensive accountability for its components and deliverables, encompassing all skill sets and job roles: software development engineers, product definition analysts, quality assurance engineers, and DevOps professionals.
Among various projects, the team is developing Smart PNR (a feature enabling travel agents to book and combine any type of content - Edifact, NDC, EAC, Non-air... - within a single PNR view while maintaining each content type in a separate PNR storage to avoid disrupting providers' views and processes with other content types), and migrating our components to the Cloud.
In addition to delivery responsibilities, enhancing the job experience for team members and fostering their growth is a primary focus for this role.
You will collaborate closely with our business counterparts and engage with other divisions within Amadeus.
In our Agile working environment, you will manage resources across various Amadeus Release Trains.
Your Main Responsibilities

Oversee software development engineers, product definition analysts, quality assurance engineers, and DevOps in delivering all committed projects on time, within scope, and in accordance with corporate standards and quality. Establish team objectives and translate them into individual goals for each team member aligned with organizational aims. Assess team and individual performance and provide input for salary evaluations. Cultivate the team through continuous assessment. Inspire and guide individual team members to enhance their capabilities (knowledge, behavior, communication, etc.). Build and manage a team that fosters a collaborative work environment promoting innovation and empowerment. Conduct interviews to recruit suitable profiles while ensuring team spirit is maintained.Accountability / Business Acumen
Define and communicate the technical/functional team roadmap and vision in alignment with department/division/company objectives. Propose a functional and technical vision for the component. Report on team activities. Be accountable for the performance and outcomes of a unit within your discipline or function. Develop plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
