The Creation Platform is integral to Amadeus' growth strategy within the Travel Unit, facilitating the next generation of travel ecosystems. It serves as a connector among partners, suppliers, customers, and travelers, offering solutions, capabilities, intelligence, and content that together will enhance traveler-centric journeys of the future.
The mission of the Creation Platform is to foster innovation that accelerates business value and enhances process efficiency by sharing capabilities across Amadeus' various business lines, rather than adhering to a strictly vertical product line approach.
We seek a skilled Product Manager who can adeptly manage the complexities of the ecosystem, engage with multiple stakeholders, possess a profound interest in traveler-centric solutions and platform capabilities, and demonstrate enthusiasm for Amadeus' strategy of system openness.
Purpose
Your role will involve overseeing one of the 'traveler' platform capabilities designed to assist capability consumers in enhancing their traveler-centric strategies.
As a Platform Product Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting requirement analysis, market research, and IT/technical monitoring.
- Formulating platform capabilities strategy and positioning, which encompasses product lifecycle management and internal/external exposure.
- Providing support to delivery teams for technical and functional solution analysis.
- Assisting in execution (prioritization, resource allocation, budgeting).
Additionally, you will contribute to the product management activities of T-DNA, a product aimed at airlines that provides insights into traveler behavior.
Main Responsibilities
The Amadeus Creation platform encompasses the following capabilities under the 'traveler' umbrella:
- Traveler data protection.
- Traveler 360 & intelligence.
- Traveler wallet.
As the Product Manager responsible for these capabilities, you will be tasked with:
Positioning
- Leading communications with Amadeus business lines, engineering teams, and Creation Platform architects to identify requirements, opportunities, and governance/compliance challenges.
- Contributing to the traveler capability strategy by collaborating with other platform product managers and maximizing synergies across capabilities.
- Communicating the evolution of capabilities and gathering feedback from users and the product management community to refine the roadmap and enhance adoption.
- Proposing strategic directions to management to ensure cohesive communication (including investment/budget proposals and feature prioritization).
- Conveying strategic direction to capability consumers and stakeholders.
Lifecycle
- Managing platform capabilities at various maturity stages.
- Overseeing the capability lifecycle, from introducing new technologies to managing end-of-life strategies (replacement, migration, communication, change management).
- Measuring success through metrics and implementing strategies to maximize capability usage.
- Defining the cost model and monitoring the evolution of capability unit costs.
Execution
- Maintaining a well-groomed platform capability backlog in close collaboration with relevant Epic Owners, and proactively communicating significant changes to key stakeholders.
- Owning the long-term vision and roadmap for capabilities, working with Epic Owners, Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering to refine requirements and manage the execution backlog.
- Coordinating and prioritizing feature delivery to align with go-to-market activities for new features across the organization, demonstrating a deep understanding of market needs.
About Our Ideal Candidate
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a product manager, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Experience in customer-centric solutions or customer data platforms.
- Comfortable with uncertainty and adaptable to a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
- Strong communication, analytical, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
