Job Summary:The Senior Engineering Planner will play a key role in supporting the Engineering Department's goal of predictable performance on projects. This role will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and following up on all engineering planning activities within a project or tender.
Key Responsibilities:- Be the focal point of contact for all activity related to engineering planning on a project or tender.
- Understand projects'/tenders' requirements; identify and address planning scenarios and problems; develop and implement solutions.
- Be forecast-oriented, anticipating and alerting at an early stage issues and impacts.
- Establish, maintain, and follow up plans and progress for new and established projects in accordance with Subsea 7 and GPC (Global Projects Centre) Planning procedures.
- Develop and maintain the engineering Baseline schedule, including S-curves and reporting formats.
- Organize the flow of planning and progress information with internal and external sources, including establishing reporting routines for sub-contractors and follow-up of progress.
- Prepare reports as requested, including progress, critical paths, float management, deviations, and forecast.
- Implement sub-contractors' plans into the main schedule/plan.
- Assure that schedule impact of changes gets analyzed in due time and implemented into relevant plans and be proactive in early identification of deviations and corrective actions.
- Participate in good communication and follow-up of internal and external activities in the project, reporting consequences/changes related to planned progress according to agreed reporting frequency.
- Prepare schedules as requested and by anticipation, proposing scenarios, detailed schedules, what-if simulations/scenarios.
- Prepare effective presentations for the Project/Tender team to discuss, summarize, and validate the planning assumptions and basis.
- Keep a record of main changes made to schedules through various revisions on tender/project.
- Record and back-up all as-built and Lesson learned, official and working documents to ensure benchmark and handover.
- Actively work together with Project Planning team, Planning Department, and the Project Performance team to ensure alignment and quality in deliverables.
- Provide specialist skills, integrity, and knowledge of key areas of planning, sharing with other collaborators, and contribute to foster planning awareness.
- Actively contribute to the discipline development and performance improvement.
- Work in accordance with Subsea 7 and GPC process and ensure they are applied.

Preferred Experience and Education:
- Professional qualifications – Education equivalent to degree in engineering and administrative discipline
- Software: Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Relevant previous experience at an appropriate level in the subsea or offshore environment.
- Previous project experience.
- Relevant previous experience at an appropriate level in planning (more than 7 years recommended)
- Ideally previous experience in Oil and Gas Engineering
- Good level of English
- Good communication skills, oral, written, and electronic
- Commitment to Continuing Professional Development
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge in key areas of planning techniques and analysis
- Ideally an understanding of current Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Offshore Installation processes in the Oil and Gas Sector with special emphasis on Engineering
- Pro-active and open in communication with all interfacing parties
- Autonomous & team player
- Independently evaluate, organize, and prioritize work for self and others
- Knowledge
- Understanding of the Offshore Oil and Gas industry
