Job Purpose:
- Provide technical expertise to ensure timely completion of studies and effectively communicate findings to clients and other disciplines.
- Manage and deliver work scopes and studies within agreed cost, schedule, and quality parameters, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Prepare and contribute to manhour estimates and proposals based on client needs and defined work scopes, acting as a proposal manager to coordinate disciplines and ensure high-quality documentation.
- Support business development through client interactions, attending conferences, industry events, and workgroup meetings.
- Mentor and assist in the development of junior team members, with potential for line management of junior resources and future recruits.

As a Study Manager, you will play a crucial role in the growth of our Abu Dhabi office, overseeing the execution of early-phase projects (from Conceptual to Pre-FEED) for a diverse range of clients, including developers and operators of innovative energy projects. You will work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment, collaborating closely with various Technip Energies offices worldwide.
Job Scope:
- Prepare proposals detailing methodology, schedule, resource requirements, and costs.
- Ensure study scope is executed in alignment with company expectations for delivery, quality, and innovation.
- Conduct multi-discipline field techno-economic development studies to provide technically robust solutions that optimize client commercial drivers.
- Offer technical guidance and expertise both internally and during client interactions.
- Keep clients informed of study technical, commercial, and schedule progress, addressing any deviations from the plan promptly.
- Proactively communicate with all stakeholders by implementing a no-surprises policy.
- Identify future work opportunities through business development and networking.
- Build client relationships based on mutual trust and respect.
- Relevant engineering degree; considered backgrounds include process engineering, project engineering, renewable asset development, and other technical energy roles.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience, primarily in the upstream oil and gas sector.
- Highly competent in field development and process engineering, with an appreciation for broader disciplines such as construction and project management.
- Experience in feasibility and conceptual design stages of projects.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English (written and oral); proficiency in French is preferred.
- Proactive communicator with strong personal awareness.
- Client-focused with experience in facilitating client meetings and managing relationships.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial relationships in project delivery contexts.
- Knowledge of Energy Transition markets and drivers (technical aspects, economics, regulatory, etc.).
- Management of client and team members.
