Join Our Team as a Safety and Airworthiness Expert

At Ascendance Flight Technologies, we are pushing the boundaries of hybrid-electric aviation with our innovative Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft, ATEA. Our in-house hybrid-electric propulsion system, STERNA, is a game-changer in the industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Airworthiness Expert to join our team and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge aircraft.

About the Role

As a Safety and Airworthiness Expert, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and airworthiness of our aircraft. You will work closely with our Airworthiness and Safety directors to develop and implement safety strategies and procedures. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining safety documentation, including SysFHA, PSSA, and SSA documents
  • Conducting safety analyses and tracking safety requirement conformity
  • Validating architecture change proposals
  • Participating in the development of safety and airworthiness strategies

You will be a key member of our avionics system development and Flight Control System (FCS) development teams, ensuring safe flights and meeting regulatory requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Human Machine Interface, Network Sciences, Flight Control System, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Airworthiness (CS-23, CS-25, or CS-27) and/or Safety (AMC 25.1309, ARP 4754, ARP 4761) for aerospace systems
  • Good knowledge and experience with DO-178C, DO-254, and DO160 standards
  • Flight testing or system architecting experience is a plus
