Job Title: Senior Software Engineer: C/C++/Python

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer: C/C++/Python to join our team at Fut-ure Recruitment and Technology. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems using C/C++/Python.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop new Python applications for the Raspberry-Pi platform.
  • Improve the tests, frameworks, and tools used for testing iOS, web, and server applications.
  • Implement new microservices used in our scaled backend infrastructure.
  • Develop applications, services, tools used across the company and low-level engineering solution on Real-Time (RTOS), Android and Linux-based systems.
  • Work closely with the hardware team to develop drivers and middleware for cutting-edge new hardware components.
  • Build automation and reporting infrastructure for pre-production and in-production testing and validation of critical hardware and software changes.
  • Be responsible for the quality and on-time delivery of your work-products throughout the software development lifecycles.
Requirements:
  • MS degree in CS/EE or equivalent experience.
  • Strong, demonstrable coding skills in C and C++.
  • 5+ years of experience with Linux environment, working with embedded or mobile platform or customizing Android OS for embedded devices.
  • 5+ years of experience in software architecture.
  • Ability to independently execute on medium-sized features that take multiple weeks and multiple iterations of PRs to complete.
  • Ability to understand, debug, and improve operational aspects of the system.
  • You are not afraid of making decisions and can articulate your arguments.
  • You are eager to tackle all problems.
  • You are curious and willing to improve.
  • You are a lifetime learner who isn't afraid to admit to a mistake.
  • Strong development skills in Python.
  • Ability to analyze, understand, and solve problems.
  • Good understanding of testing fundamentals.
  • Attention to detail and an emphasis on quality rather than fast results.
  • Fluency in English and French required.
