Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned actuarial and risk management professional with a deep understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) business operations and risk management topics, including P&C pricing for commercial lines, underwriting, and internal models. This position is integral to our Group Finance and Risk Management Audit team, which evaluates the effectiveness of our internal control and risk management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
As an actuarial and risk internal auditor, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting internal audit reviews focused on risk management and P&C actuarial topics.
- Supporting internal audit teams in subsidiaries during audits related to P&C and risk management.
- Developing and maintaining audit programs on P&C and risk management themes, ensuring adherence to operational standards across the Group.
- Reporting quarterly audit findings to senior management, including the Group Chief Risk Officer.
- Contributing to the development of the Risk Management & Actuarial Community, which comprises approximately 100 professionals.
- Assisting in the creation of R&D tools and leveraging data analytics in audits.
- Playing a key role in recruiting and developing the necessary skills within the team.
- Participating in special projects as directed by the Head of Finance and Risk Audit.
- Networking with other actuarial professionals within the Group to identify new audit opportunities.
Your Profile
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- A robust technical understanding of the P&C insurance sector, including pricing, underwriting, and internal models, with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Fluency in English and French.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven track record in auditing technical risk management concepts.
- Excellent qualitative risk-based thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- A willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
- A solid understanding of Solvency II and IFRS17 is highly desirable.
