Operational Excellence (OpEX) within Cloud Operations is dedicated to refining processes and systems to enhance productivity, performance, and efficiency. This methodology emphasizes ongoing evaluation and improvement to achieve sustainable operational success. To foster autonomy and self-service among teams while minimizing fragmentation, we have embraced a product-centric approach to our platform, offering tailored solutions to meet the diverse requirements of our internal engineering teams.
Your Role
You will be part of the development team responsible for our Internal Developer Portal, inspired by Spotify Backstage. This portal is essential to our software development strategy, acting as a central hub for our development activities and internal workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the portal utilizing the ExpressJS framework.
- Create responsive and high-performance front-end components in React for our portal plugins.
- Manage migrations and upkeep of the PostgreSQL database.
- Integrate and enhance search functionalities.
- Implement best practices for testing, linting, and code documentation.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to align development with user needs.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 2 to 3 years of experience in software development, preferably in a full-stack environment.
- Experience in fast-paced company settings is advantageous.
Essential Skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience with ExpressJS servers.
- Proficiency in React development, with the ability to create intricate front-end components.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL and expertise in database migration management.
- Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
- Competence in unit and integration testing.
- A solid understanding of product design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with product and engineering teams.
