About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Manager and Data Protection Officer to join our Legal and Compliance Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our policies and procedures are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, particularly in relation to data protection.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the main point of contact for staff members, regulators, and public authorities on data protection matters.
Ensure that our policies and procedures are in compliance with data protection regulations, such as GDPR.
Evaluate our data protection framework to identify areas of non-compliance and implement necessary changes.
Develop and implement training programs to educate staff members on data protection best practices.
Provide data protection advice to the data controller and data processor.
Promote a culture of data protection and compliance across the organization.
Additional Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate various contracts related to our commercial activities.
Secure data and tech-related matters.
Provide legal advice and risk assessment to other teams.
Requirements
Master's degree in IP/IT/Data Law.
5+ years of experience in data protection compliance, either in a law firm or in-house.
Strong understanding of tech, web, and mobile environments.
High negotiation skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French.
Strong project management skills.
