About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Planning Manager to join our team at Mace. As a key member of our consult business, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality programme and project management services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain integrated plans and budgets for large-scale construction projects
  • Establish and maintain effective reporting and control processes across the project
  • Apply project control standards and expectations to support timely and accurate preparation, production, and maintenance of schedules
  • Load cost and resource estimates within the schedule and produce project reports
  • Support the development of an overall integrated plan and budget for the project
  • Establish and maintain schedules for sub-projects within the overall programme
  • Support the production of monthly reports through the provision of intelligent information and analysis
  • Produce analysis of trends, generate performance indicators, and provide feedback on areas of risk and opportunities
  • Support the estimating process
  • Establish and foster working relationships with all appropriate stakeholders
  • Liaise with other sections of the team
  • Foster and practice client team values
  • Support schedule management and reporting for the project, including cost and earned value reporting and management
Requirements
  • Knowledge of construction methodology and processes, with particular focus on relevant structural/facade/fit out disciplines
  • Knowledge of method statement processes and relevant digital platforms
  • Knowledge of Mace systems and internal standards, and where to find them
  • Basic understanding of programmes, critical paths, and commissioning strategy
  • Basic understanding of mechanical engineering & plumbing (MEP)
  • Proven experience in managing small packages/areas of work
  • Experience of managing an area/package from start to finish onsite
  • Able to evidence previous roles and responsibilities and successful site management
  • Knowledge of health, safety & wellbeing standards
  • External, recognised accreditation (CIOB etc)
