Logistics Coordinator

Solidarités International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Sudan. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for supporting the Logistics Coordinator in guiding mission logistics activities.

• Due to the ongoing conflict, our mission in Sudan has significantly increased its activities and funding, requiring a high level of logistical support.
• Cross-border operations are ongoing through Chad to Darfur, with new sites and bases being established, necessitating effective logistics management.
• The logistics department is undergoing restructuring and strategy development to meet the mission's needs.
• Human Resources setup and training are being revised to support the logistics and programs teams.

• Training national staff in Ndjamena and supporting the Logistics Manager during the transition period.
• Capacity building on supply movements from Chad to Sudan, including transportation and storage, and supporting the Adre Logistics team.
• Revision and action plan for living conditions in N'Djamena and supporting Geneina.
• Conducting market assessments and compiling prices and suppliers in Chad (Ndjamena, Abéché, Adré).
• Improving logistics reporting on a monthly basis.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in logistics, transportation, and emergency response. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with a similar position in a similar context.

The candidate should have experience in importation and custom clearances, team management, and capacity building of logistics teams. Adaptability, strong initiatives, and improvisation capacities are essential for this role.

Fluency in French is required, and English is also essential. Arabic is a strong asset.

Solidarités International offers a salaried position with a competitive salary, starting from EUR gross per month (base salary + 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly), and a monthly Per Diem of USD. We also cover accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's country of origin and the place of assignment.

A system of alternation between work and time off is implemented at the rate of 7 working days every three months, with a USD break allowance. Expatriates benefit from an insurance package that refunds all healthcare expenses and a welfare system including war risks.

The coordination team is based in N'Djamena, with comfortable living conditions, including a guest house and office with hot water, air conditioning, TV, Internet, and electricity. The city offers a wide range of leisure facilities and a large expatriate community.
