Energy Transition Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Analyst/Associate to join our team at Amundi Energy Transition (AET), a dedicated management company focused on direct infrastructure equity investment in the energy transition and decarbonisation sector.
About the RoleAs an Analyst/Associate, you will play a key role in all stages of the investment cycle, working closely with our investment team and wider AET team to conduct market research, support transaction execution, manage investments, and contribute to team development.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct market and industry research across the energy transition and infrastructure sector
- Assess the relevance of various energy transition-related investment opportunities
- Build and/or manage complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, including cashflow analysis, valuation, and expected returns
- Prepare investment memoranda to present and recommend investment opportunities to the investment committee
- Participate in and contribute to weekly team meetings, investment committee meetings, and valuation committee meetings
- Develop and cultivate a network of industry contacts to improve access to information for the team
AET is part of Amundi's business line, with a goal to act in favor of the energy transition and decarbonisation by directing investments towards private infrastructure companies linked to the energy and climate transition, as well as decarbonization, to contribute to achieving the net-zero objective.
AET targets greenfield and brownfield investments in renewable energy generation, green mobility, energy storage, hydrogen, energy efficiency, etc., with over €1 billion in assets under management and currently fundraising for new investment vehicles.
Requirements- Graduate degree in finance, business administration, engineering, or a relevant discipline
- 0-2 years of experience in investment, financing, or M&A gained at a private equity/infrastructure fund, an investment bank, a financial adviser, or a corporate
- Good understanding and genuine interest in the infrastructure/energy transition sector
- International experience considered an asset
- Fluency in French and English, with a third European language a plus
