Job Title: Field Technician - Agriculture Specialist
About the Role:
Corteva Agriscience, a leading agricultural innovation company, is seeking a skilled Field Technician - Agriculture Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our research and development team, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to enrich the lives of those who produce and consume.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage operational trials from preparation to harvest, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality results.
- Coordinate with farmers and other stakeholders to execute trials, fostering strong relationships and open communication.
- Operate and maintain agricultural equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Collect and analyze phenotypic data using precision technology, providing valuable insights for crop development.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in selection programs, driving innovation and progress.
- Supervise temporary staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements:
- Degree in Agriculture or 5 years of field experience in the seeds industry, with a strong understanding of agricultural principles and practices.
- Knowledge of agricultural machinery maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Strong communication skills in French and English, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in IT skills, with experience in data analysis and management.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Understanding of plant breeding, molecular technologies, and statistics, with a passion for staying up-to-date on industry developments.
- Frequent travel within France and some international trips, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, fostering collaboration and open communication.
