About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior P&C Retail Manager to join our team at the AXA Group. As a key member of our Global Underwriting Office, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence in retail underwriting across our entities worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement state-of-the-art underwriting approaches and models to drive growth and profitability
  • Lead in-depth reviews and technical reviews to identify areas for improvement
  • Participate in the development of pricing and profitability strategies
  • Provide high-level reports and analysis to support portfolio performance review
  • Launch profit or premium recovery programs to drive business growth
  • Monitor and steer portfolio profitability to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Improve discount management and sales steering to optimize revenue
  • Reduce underwriting leakage and improve distribution coverage
  • Utilize internal and external data, including innovative technologies, to inform underwriting decisions
Requirements
  • 8-10 years of underwriting experience in retail lines of business
  • General knowledge of retail lines insurance products and client segments
  • Ability to manipulate complex financial figures and reinsurance knowledge
  • Experience working in complex environments and project management
  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as SAS, or other AI languages
  • Natural leadership and ability to develop structured argumentation
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
