About the Role

Croix-Rouge française is seeking a Community Mobilizer to join our team in Lyon, France. As a Community Mobilizer, you will play a key role in improving access to water, hygiene, and sanitation in underserved communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the improvement of access to water, hygiene, and sanitation
  • Participate in the realization of diagnostics and implement a community surveillance system
  • Deploy a community mobilization approach to support the management, maintenance, and use of water, hygiene, and sanitation infrastructure installed on different sites
  • Animate sessions of promotion to hygiene among the accompanied people
  • Participate in potential risk reduction actions
  • Participate in coordination and representation activities
  • Contribute to the organization and conduct of surveys and data collection and analysis on hygiene practices (CAP); on the quality and accountability of the project
Requirements
  • Experience and skills in social work, sociology, or a related field
  • Understanding of issues related to life on squats, bidonvilles, and camps
  • Appreciation of procedures for combating inadequate housing
  • Knowledge of community-based approach methodologies and/or experience in a community mobilization project
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Romanian, Italian, English, or other foreign languages (Arabic, Bosnian, Persian, Albanian, Romani, Georgian, etc.)
  • Valid driving license (Permis B)
