We are currently seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to enhance our Microsoft Practice. This role is pivotal as we continue to expand our capabilities.

Security Clearance Requirement:
Candidates must be eligible for SC level security clearance, which necessitates having resided and worked in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.

Work Location: This is a permanent position that allows for remote work within the UK, promoting a healthy work-life balance. Employees also have the option to utilize our network of offices across the UK as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to facilitate the secure and efficient deployment of applications and services. Your proficiency in Azure services, automation, and DevOps methodologies will be essential for the successful execution of software projects.

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps or comparable tools to automate the build, testing, and deployment of applications and services in Azure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance the integration of code changes, ensuring continuous integration and automated testing are effectively implemented.
  • Develop and oversee infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Azure Bicep, or Terraform for provisioning and configuring Azure resources.
  • Create and manage containerization solutions with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS) to support the deployment and scaling of containerized applications.
  • Implement and configure Azure services, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Container Instances, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking, to maximize application performance and availability.
  • Establish and enforce security and compliance protocols in Azure, focusing on identity and access management, network security, and data encryption.
  • Work with operations teams to set up monitoring and logging solutions using Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and Application Insights to ensure high availability and effective troubleshooting.
  • Produce and maintain documentation for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure configurations, and operational procedures to promote knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Continuously assess and enhance the efficiency, scalability, and performance of CI/CD pipelines and IaC solutions in Azure.
  • Stay abreast of the latest Azure services, DevOps tools, and industry trends to recommend process improvements and technology adoption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote the adoption of DevOps practices, automation, and cloud-native solutions within the organization.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to development teams regarding Azure services, infrastructure as code, CI/CD best practices, and application deployment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and application deployments in Azure environments.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident response and root cause analysis as necessary.
  • Keep informed about emerging technologies and advancements in the Azure ecosystem, engaging in training and professional development to enhance skills and expertise.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Practical experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions such as ARM templates, Azure Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (AKS).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices in Azure environments.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Knowledge of source control systems like Git and code branching strategies.
