Electron Microscope Maintenance Specialist

Join ThermoFisher Scientific as an Electron Microscope Maintenance Specialist and contribute to the success of our Life Sciences and Material Sciences markets. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining complex electron microscope equipment, ensuring accurate operation and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install sophisticated electron microscope equipment and follow test procedures to ensure accurate operation.
- Carry out annual preventive maintenance on equipment, as well as corrective maintenance on request.
- Provide exceptional customer service in the allocated territory and support in France and occasionally in Europe.
- Accurately detail service activities in the field by drafting service and technical reports.
- Communicate efficiently with internal stakeholders, including hotline, field application engineers, product managers, service managers, sales engineers, etc.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance service quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Experienced technician/engineer in electronics and physical measurements.
- Knowledge and/or experience of electron microscopy is a prerequisite.
- Ability to diagnose and solve problems on sophisticated electronic and mechanical instruments in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently/in a remote team
- Excellent interpersonal skills (oral and written).
- Good level of English required
