Role: Deputy Manager - Finance & Logistics Operations

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Deputy Manager - Finance & Logistics Operations in the Lille branch. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our express delivery network by managing financial performance, procurement strategies, and transportation partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation Provider Management: Identify, evaluate, and select reliable transport providers within the designated geographic area. Ensure they meet service quality standards and operational requirements.
  • Purchasing Strategy & Negotiation: Collaborate with senior management to define purchasing strategies for transportation services. Negotiate contracts with first and last-mile providers, ensuring competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Financial Performance Monitoring: Track key financial indicators related to transportation operations, including revenue, costs, and profitability. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Contract Management & Compliance: Oversee the management of transport contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon terms and conditions. Monitor performance metrics, conduct audits, and address any issues promptly.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare comprehensive reports on financial performance, transportation operations, and key initiatives for senior management and national stakeholders.
Desired Profile:

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in transportation management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in purchasing transport services within the logistics industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools.

This role requires regular travel to various sites within the Northern region.
