About the Role

As a seasoned Software Engineering Manager at Datadog, you will lead the development of cutting-edge Browser SDKs in TypeScript, impacting millions of users across major organizations. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying performance bottlenecks and improving web optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a high-performing team of 6-8 engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Define the technical roadmap in alignment with product goals and cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.
  • Collaborate with partner teams, such as Application Performance Monitoring, Product Analytics, and Error Tracking, to shape the client-side experience of Datadog.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, driving business outcomes through technical excellence.
  • Participate in hands-on work, including code reviews, design reviews, and coding, to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.
Requirements
  • A proven track record of leading software engineering teams, with a strong background in software development and technical leadership.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Strong technical expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, with experience in building web applications on modern frameworks (React, Angular, Next.js, Nuxt, etc).
  • Experience in building packages or tooling for developers to use in production.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
