About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Buying Coordinator to join our team at ArcelorMittal US. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our global buying processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with global buyers, back office, and users to ensure seamless buying of global categories.
  • Ensure that services or materials are delivered and improve processes.
  • Support users in communication with buyers and back office in the "Center of Excellence" in Poland.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Master Agreements, Child Agreements, and contracts are properly linked.
  • Coordinate the creation of new materials numbers and facilitate understanding of Spend tree management for global categories.
  • Support demand side planning on a regular basis and deploy e-catalogues in coordination with global buyers.
  • Follow up on legally required processes on site, including archiving and wet signatures.
  • Manage claims and intervene when problems occur on-site or with material damage/loss of production.
  • Monitor KPIs and report on progress.
  • Keep users informed of changes in buying teams and procedures.
  • Urgent matters with users – smoothing but no direct responsibility.
  • Engage parties (buyers, suppliers) to find solutions and follow action plans.
  • Support the Hub Coordinator for specific projects.
Interfaces
  • System Processes and Compliance (SPC) team.
  • Global buyers for their activities.
  • Back office "Center of excellence" in Poland.
  • Users in Operations in ArcelorMittal France.
  • Suppliers.
Your Profile

We are looking for a candidate with problem-solving, analytical skills, and good ease facing numbers. You should demonstrate leadership and be familiar with change management. You should be highly ethical and have good interpersonal skills. You should be system-oriented and have knowledge of SAP MM, CLM, and SRM. Knowledge of quality management norms (ISO 9001...) would be a plus. You should hold a master's degree in procurement, supply chain, engineering, or equivalent. You should be fluent in English and French. Any additional European language is a plus.
