About the Role

Ametra is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Research and Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing numerical methods to dimension complex structures and hybrid assemblies until failure using adapted numerical methods (Péridynamique / XFEM / others).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement numerical methods for structural analysis and simulation
• Collaborate with the project team to design and implement a in-house code for applying these methods on various structures
• Validate the predictive capacity of these methods
• Work with the project team to improve and refine these methods for industrial use in product design

Requirements

• Recent PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Numerical Methods or related field
• Strong knowledge of material behavior laws, particularly for anisotropic materials
• Proficiency in numerical methods such as Finite Element Method and/or Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics
• Programming skills in Python and/or C++
• Ability to write efficient, well-documented and commented scientific code and produce scientific documents such as published articles in peer-reviewed journals
