About Aerospacelab
Aerospacelab is a rapidly growing company with a mission to design and manufacture small satellites, combined with the development of earth observation services. Our team of over 25 engineers has expertise in hardware design, software development, and data science.
We are looking for a skilled Thermal Engineer to join our team and contribute to the growth of our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Define spacecraft thermal architecture and units thermal designs, perform concepts trade-off, and validate products through extensive testing.
- Define the thermal control of platforms and units, including specification of payload thermal environment.
- Carry out testing activities, including assembly, thermal validation, and prediction, as well as Ground Support Equipment definition.
- Exploit flight data.
Requirements
- MSc degree in thermal engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to work across the team and company to drive thermal designs to completion in full autonomy.
- Demonstrated ability to define and carry out thermal testing (Thermal Cycling, Thermal Balance Tests).
- 3y+ experience in thermal design (preferably with Systema-Thermica) and testing.
- Good communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience in various thermal software (Systema-Thermica, SigFit, ESATAN) will be strongly appreciated.
- Experience with space environment requirements will be strongly appreciated.
- Task automation skills through scripts (Python).
