Job Description

OMICRON is a leading provider of innovative solutions for power supply safety and reliability. We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer to join our team in France.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and application expertise for OMICRON products and services in power network areas to international customers.
  • Contribute to new product development, product strategies, and application needs.
  • Observe and document customer and market requirements to enhance product development.
  • Participate in technical seminars, user meetings, conferences, and expositions.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems for customer and sales support.
  • Prepare and conduct customer visits with practical product demonstrations to support Area Sales Management.
  • Carry out measurements and lead customers through training, partly on-site.
Requirements
  • Professional technical education in electrical engineering.
  • Several years of practical testing and commissioning experience in power systems, especially in primary apparatus (CT, VT, Power Transformers, and Breakers).
  • Experience with OMICRON products and knowledge of their usage is highly desirable.
  • Prior customer support experience is advantageous, with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proactive and enjoy working in a small team with international roots.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken French and very good command of English.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel (up to 50%) in France and occasionally abroad.
