Accounting Expertise at SBM Offshore
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team at SBM Offshore, a leading provider of floating production solutions for the offshore energy industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the daily and monthly accounting process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Perform monthly closing tasks, including booking of non-recurring journal entries and cut-off entries.
- Prepare or review payroll/employee benefits bookings, software reconciliations (SUN/SAGE), and PP&E register follow-up.
- Ensure internal control procedures are applied, and Group accounting policies are adhered to in accounting processes.
- Provide account analysis on a quarterly basis for the Group Consolidated Balance Sheet report.
Requirements
- Business School or financial & accounting related degree.
- Three – five years' experience in a related environment or an audit firm.
- Autonomous and initiative skills, customer focus, action-oriented, collaborative, proactive and organized, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Solid accounting knowledge, statutory accounting, tax requirements, and audit process.
- IT tools (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), ERP or SAGE.
- Internal control framework.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Analytical skills and critical thinking.
