Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Prudent Valuation Senior Analyst to join our Analytics, Controls & Investigations team in the Valuation Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the fair valuation system for financial instruments and producing fair value levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the team's point of contact for Prudent Valuation related matters;
- Maintain the team's principles and policies surrounding prudent valuations;
- Contribute with Front Office, Risk and Finance in the design and implementation steps for prudent valuation adjustments of the bank;
- Contribute to the bank's reflections on process changes surrounding prudent valuation;
- Perform quarterly controls on valuation adjustment and verification systems and performing analyses relating to valuation components;
- Document these controls and qualify the level of risk associated with any weaknesses identified;
- Define remediation action plans for identified weaknesses and monitor their implementation;
About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise and business acumen. As a Prudent Valuation Senior Analyst, you will work closely with our team to develop and implement valuation models and processes that meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
Requirements
- Higher education in mathematics or engineering with a market finance component;
- At least 4 years of experience in auditor, consultant or risk manager positions in market activities;
- Familiarity with the subtleties of the valuation of financial instruments (Fair Valuation, Prudent Valuation, Independent Price Verification, etc.) across all asset classes;
- Project and team management experience;
- Excellent relationship and communication skills;
- Rigorous and recognized for your writing skills;
- Accustomed to working with demanding stakeholders: operational, top management of the bank and control bodies (statutory auditors, internal audit, supervisors, etc.);
- Master English with a C1/C2 level.
