Position Overview
The Fédération des acteurs de la solidarité (FAS) seeks a dedicated and experienced Humanitarian Coordinator to lead our efforts in supporting migrants on the Northern coast of France. This role involves coordinating our presence with passing exiles in Calais and collaborating with other FAS entities along the coastline.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Project Development & Implementation: Develop, implement, and evaluate strategic projects focused on migrant support in Calais. Engage stakeholders in project development and evaluation, ensuring local coordination with volunteers for effective project management.
- Operational Project Execution: Oversee the daily operations of reception centers, outreach programs, resource centers, and awareness campaigns in Calais. Maintain strong partnerships with other organizations working in the field and manage organizational aspects effectively.
- Advocacy & Representation: Inform stakeholders about the realities faced by migrants on the ground. Coordinate advocacy actions, engage in strategic partnerships, and represent FAS before local authorities.
- Team Leadership & Management: Lead and coordinate a dedicated team of employees and volunteers, ensuring their individual support, training, and development. Foster a cohesive team environment and prioritize risk prevention measures.
- Organizational Alignment & Collaboration: Build strong relationships within FAS, contribute to overall migrant support strategies, facilitate knowledge transfer, and collaborate with regional and national partners.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- 6-10 years of experience working in humanitarian aid, migrant support, or human rights organizations.
- Demonstrated commitment to FAS mission and values.
- Expertise in migrant support services and international human rights frameworks.
- Proven experience managing teams and building collaborative networks.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Professional proficiency in English.
