We are seeking a Senior Economic Analyst to join our team at Compass Lexecon. As a Senior Economic Analyst, you will play a key role in helping our clients understand how competition works in their industry.
Key responsibilities include:
- Interacting extensively with clients to gain insight into their industry
- Contributing to the development of theoretical and empirical approaches
- Utilizing literature to support economic arguments
- Efficiently conducting empirical analysis using Excel and Stata
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of projects
- Drafting reports summarizing analysis
- Delivering accurate and high-quality work products
- Participating actively in client meetings and conference calls
- Extensive mentoring and supervising of junior staff
Requirements include:
- Ph.D. in economics, ideally with a focus on industrial organization or applied econometrics
- Master's/Bachelor's in economics and several years of experience in competition economics
- Highly analytical
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
- Dedication to high-quality and accurate work
- Strong attention to detail
- Independent worker and team player
- Good project and people management skills
- Strong Stata and Excel skills desirable
- Fluency in French and English required, other languages (German, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese) a plus
