About Forum Réfugiés: Forum Réfugiés is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to welcoming, housing, and assisting asylum seekers and refugees from diverse backgrounds, facilitating their administrative processes and integration into French society. The organization offers legal guidance to individuals in administrative detention, advocates for human rights and democracy globally, operates a resource and training center for migration professionals and the public, and engages in awareness and advocacy initiatives to promote asylum legislation.
Role Overview:
As part of the CADA team in Vaulx-en-Velin and under the supervision of your service manager, your primary responsibility will be to deliver comprehensive assistance to asylum seekers throughout their procedural journey.
- Facilitate the efficient management of the asylum application process, ensuring access to social rights, and providing thorough administrative, legal, health, and social support for the individuals in your care, adhering to regulatory timelines.
- Guide individuals through standard systems and offer essential support.
- Maintain accurate data collection tools and manage both physical and digital files regarding the progress of the support provided to the individuals.
- Engage in the development of collaborations and networks, particularly with other organizations and coordinators active in this area.
- Occasionally contribute to activities that support the implementation of Forum Réfugiés' service and/or organizational objectives.
Position Details:
Contract type: Permanent position with a specified number of hours per week.
Compensation and Benefits: Salary based on the FEHAP51 collective agreement, non-executive status, starting gross monthly salary from 2,193€ (dependent on relevant experience), plus a fixed premium associated with the professions allowance, a variable 5% bi-annual conventional bonus, health insurance, and additional benefits such as meal vouchers and cultural offers.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably with a diploma in Social Work (AS, DEES, CESF...).
- Experience in social support is desirable.
- Strong understanding of asylum law and associated social rights.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomatic, and a team-oriented approach.
- Ability to adapt to changes, demonstrate responsiveness, and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- A valid driver's license is required due to travel obligations.
