Job Title: Aircraft Modification Cabin Safety Certification Engineer

Sabena Technics is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Modification Cabin Safety Certification Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented engineer to work on the certification of aircraft modifications, specifically in the cabin safety domain. As an Aircraft Modification Cabin Safety Certification Engineer, you will be responsible for the elaboration of certification packages, including minor modifications and supplemental type certificates, related to ATA11, 25, 26, 33, 35, 38, and 44.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the design of modifications and ensure compliance with certification requirements.
  • Define certification basis and evaluate airworthiness directives applicability for each modification.
  • Develop and maintain certification plans, including equipment qualification, means of compliance, and testing activities.
  • Elaborate and author documents composing certification packages, including system description documents, substantiation documents, operational documentation, and instructions for continued airworthiness.
  • Ensure follow-up of substantiation documents developed by equipment manufacturers or external providers.
  • Act as a focal point with aviation authorities during the STC approval process.
Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor or Master's degree in a technical discipline and first experience in a design office, specifically in cabin safety. A cabin safety CVE position in another organization is a plus. The ideal candidate should have awareness in aircraft environment and architecture, equipment qualification processes, POA processes, operational documentation, regulation, and certification processes with non-EASA authorities.
