With a diverse team of over 350 professionals from 38 countries, we are committed to assembling exceptional talent to realize this ambitious and innovative initiative. Our dynamic international team is continually evolving to meet new challenges. Based in Grenoble, we have recently launched our Verkor Innovation Centre, which serves as both a research and development hub and a cutting-edge pilot line.
We are currently focused on constructing the most advanced and efficient Gigafactory in Dunkirk, aiming for an initial production capacity of 16 GWh of lithium-ion batteries by 2025, sufficient to power 300,000 electric vehicles annually.
Job Responsibilities:- Collaborate with suppliers and partners for sourcing cell components and gathering feedback.
- Conduct multiscale generation and analysis of results, focusing on characterization, testing, and process-structure-performance relationships.
- Support product validation through the creation of specifications sheets and fostering cross-team collaborations.
- Ensure the traceability of methods, quality controls, and availability of results through LIMS/Vibe.
- Disassemble lithium-ion cell prototypes, including coin cells, pouch cells, and cylindrical cells.
- Execute cell testing procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols.
- Identify and report safety incidents appropriately.
- Validate and comprehend performance grades.
- Provide feedback on results to all stakeholders.
- Guarantee traceability, repeatability, and quality of prototypes and results.
- Expertise in Chemistry, Materials Science, or Electrochemistry, particularly with graphite, hard carbons, and SiOx materials.
- Proficient in process flow chart development.
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art lithium-ion technologies.
- Knowledge of cell component chemistry.
- Experience in data analysis and presentation.
- Background in handling air-sensitive materials and hazardous chemicals, particularly in lithium-ion cell manufacturing and testing, as well as experience in dry room and/or clean room environments.
