Job Description

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Study Upstream Mobility to lead our efforts in developing comprehensive mobility solutions. This role involves conducting advanced research and socio-economic evaluations to support sustainable transportation projects and infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pilot multi-disciplinary teams in the execution of upstream studies (opportunity, feasibility, preliminary study, pre-project) in the field of urban and interurban transportation, transportation master plans, evaluation of existing systems, and proposal of improvements.
  • Be the client's primary point of contact for the conduct and presentation of studies.
  • Contribute to project definition studies, functional and mobility studies by evaluating needs and proposing adapted solutions.
  • Pilot and contribute to responses to calls for tender in the field.
  • Contribute to business development.
  • Manage projects by efficiently managing deadlines, budgets, project deliverables, and client satisfaction.
Areas of Intervention
  • Transportation Studies: Examine various modes of transportation (subway, bus, tramway, etc.) and design plans to optimize their efficiency and integration.
  • Urban Mobility Studies: Analyze urban transportation needs, evaluate existing systems, and propose solutions to improve mobility in cities.
  • Transport Infrastructure: Participate in the planning, design, and management of transportation infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, stations, and terminals.
  • Sustainable Development: Integrate sustainable practices into transportation projects, considering energy efficiency, emission reduction, and accessibility for all.
Example Projects
  • Multi-modal study for the implementation of regional metropolitan express services (SERM) - We are holders of the AC SGP contract for technical and economic studies of SERM.
  • Creation of a new public transportation line with definition of the corridor, choice of mode, evaluation of frequency, feasibility of the line (we are holders of the AC DOCP contract for IdFM).
  • Analysis of traffic and proposal of actions to alleviate a structuring axis.
  • Studies of agglomeration territorial schemes, analysis of modal shifts.
  • Prospective studies of the evolution of mobility practices, modeling of the impacts of telecommuting and third places.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent university degree with a specialization in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or Transportation Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in transportation planning or a similar field.
