At Aerospacelab, we are dedicated to a comprehensive approach that encompasses the design and manufacturing of compact satellites alongside the advancement of earth observation services.

Established in 2018, our company has experienced significant growth, bringing together a diverse team of over 25 experts in engineering, ranging from hardware design to software development and data science.

With offices located in multiple countries, Aerospacelab employs more than 200 professionals and aims to become the leading entity in the small satellite sector across Europe.

We are currently seeking a Propulsion Engineer to enhance our engineering capabilities.

As a propulsion architect, your responsibilities will include the development of a propulsion system, guiding it from initial concept through to in-flight validation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the establishment of the High-Level Requirements for the propulsion system.
  • Formulate and implement the development strategy for the propulsion system, encompassing design, testing, and qualification phases, in close collaboration with system and avionics engineers.
  • Design the propulsion subsystems, which include tanks, thrusters, valves, and piping.
  • Conduct trade-off analyses on the propulsion system.
  • Foster partnerships with universities or laboratories specializing in propulsion.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of technical and project reviews for both internal and customer stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the aforementioned fields.
  • Proven experience in propulsion systems for space applications.
  • Exceptional technical communication skills, facilitating effective dialogue between satellite and system engineering teams across various disciplines.
  • Strong programmatic communication abilities, engaging with customer representatives and internal departments such as project management, procurement, and assembly integration.
  • Ability to distill complex information into clear and concise overviews suitable for diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in synthesizing information effectively.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
