Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Integration Specialist to join our team at the Universitätsklinikum Freiburg. As a key member of our Data Integration Center, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data pipelines and workflow engines to support our big data infrastructure
  • Operate and optimize our database systems, ensuring high performance and data integrity
  • Implement and optimize supporting IT infrastructure, including user administration and authorization systems, CI/CD, and monitoring tools
  • Automate processes using scripts and programming languages such as Ansible, Bash, and Python
  • Collaborate with our Data Engineers and Data Scientists to develop and maintain our analytics infrastructure

Requirements:

  • Completed IT training for system integration or a degree in computer science or a related field
  • Programming skills in languages such as Java or Python, with experience in data integration or server automation
  • Knowledge of modern operating, development, and integration methods, including Docker and Infrastructure as Code
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Experience with common data analysis tools and technologies, such as R-Studio, Numpy, and Apache Kafka
